The IAP brings out 4 issues of the JIAP every year in the months of January, April, July and October. This journal is available for subscription for any dentist/dental institution. Members of the IAP receive a complimentary issue as part of their membership benefits.

The purpose of the Journal of the International Academy of Periodontology is the advancement of knowledge of clinical periodontology throughout the world. The scope of the journal includes all aspects of the art and science of periodontology with a focus on epidemiology and treatment needs in various parts of the world, and delivery of periodontal care, including specific treatment modalities and their outcomes, and the science of the pathogenesis and healing of periodontal lesions.
